Outsourcing has turned from a commodity to a necessity. Despite risks and sometimes complexity of the relationship many companies still choose to outsource to gain competitive advantage by reducing operational costs, focusing on core competencies, having some operations done more effectively with the third party provider than in-house. Those who developed a smart outsourcing partnership strategy are experiencing immediate benefits, others are looking where to begin. That’s where my blog comes in…
The blog
I’m writing this blog with small business in mind. If you have heard about what outsourcing can do, if you think it can benefit your business, but you don’t know where to start or need more information, I urge you to read on. My purpose is to guide potential buyers of offshore services through identifying processes (or projects) for outsourcing, developing outsourcing strategy, finding a vendor, building relationships with vendors, mitigating risks and so on.
I myself am involved with IT, so everything I write I will project on IT outsourcing, even though basic principles apply to both BPO and ITO.
I very much appreciate feedback, feel free to comment on my posts or contact me directly. Also, you can ask questions about outsourcing and I will either reply to them directly or write an entire post about it, if the answer is of enough volume.
